How Rouhani is Remaking Iran

Professor Said A. Arjomand  who is a sociologist and Director of the Stony Brook Institute for Global Studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, has written a very good piece about the impact of Rouhani’s policies on Iran after Ahmadinejad. “If rapprochement with the West can be achieved, the removal of the international sanctions stemming from the nuclear program would give a tremendous boost to Rouhani’s economic policy. And it is here that Rouhani has invested much of his energy and political capital.”
