Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is summoned to a court

For the first time in the history of the Islamic Republic,  a former president,  Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,  has been summoned to a court to respond to complaints filed by a myriad of individuals and entities.  For eight years,   Ahmadinejad played a dangerous game of challenging powerful people,  include the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.   Although his administration was blamed for massive financial corruption,  mismanagements, and a spending spree that came with $600 billion of oil money,  Ahmadinejad has powerful enemies in the clerical establishment.  Although he dodged the first court appearance,  it is doubtful that he can do this for long.
